Banned Book Giveaway @ I’ll Make Me a World in Iowa
February 08
Time: 10am-5pm
Location: Horizon Events Center, Clive
Annie’s Foundation is thrilled to return to Iowa’s African American Festival this year. Come learn why book bans disproportionately target books written by or about people of color, and more specifically, African Americans.
Of course we think these stories need to be shared and the voices need to be heard, so we’ll be doing our thing–handing out HUNDREDS of free banned and challenged books! We will have books for all ages. One book per person, must be present to receive a book, while supplies last.
We look forward to seeing you at this wonderful event!
