The Books

Annie’s Foundation strives to provide books for people of all ages, with a focus on children. Every event we hold will feature at least one book that is age-appropriate for your child. Book selections will vary, with selections focusing on African American characters, culture, and history; Asian characters, cultures, and history; Latinx/Hispanic characters, culture, and history; diverse families; LGBTQIA+ characters and topics; Muslim characters and culture; and poverty. These topics were identified as areas of need during a recent audit of school library materials in Johnston, and likely represent the needs of libraries throughout Central Iowa.

Below is a list of texts from past events.
