The September 22 deadline makes this urgent, but The Whole Book Matters isn’t ending on September 22. We’ll keep telling the stories of these books and what access to them means for young readers. Right now, there is an opportunity for readers to put those experiences directly into Iowa’s public-comment record. The Department’s formal rulemaking process includes consideration of public comments before final rules are drafted.
